The Beginning
Incorporated as Carolina HomesAlready in business for several years, the company officially becomes incorporated in 1989 as Carolina Homes and has been running as such ever since. Our mandate has always been to closely watch our costs while maintaining quality, so we are able to give our clients a home that is higher in value than similarly priced homes from other builders. By keeping our costs low and passing this savings along, we have been able to assist many clients in becoming first time home owners.

Polo Park Adult Villas
Another page in our diverse catalog of products is the 55+ adult community of Polo Park. Here we built villa style bungalow homes in duplex, 3 plex and 4 plex configurations with plenty of green space and a community club house for all residents to enjoy. Named for the historic High River polo grounds, this project became the blueprint for our Springfield Crossing adult community in Red Deer that followed a year later.

Johnstone Park
Johnstone Park in Red DeerIn mid 2000 Carolina Homes purchased a 115 acre parcel of land that would become home to over 700 hundred of our clients. This was our first step into being the land developer, as well as the builder. Taking this parcel of raw land and moving through the process to completion was a very satisfiying experience, and ensured our vision was realized for Johnstone Park. Everything from single family homes, duplexes, condominiums, adult villas, parks and commercial areas were built here over the next 13 years.

Parks
Not Just Homes, But CommunitiesAlthough Carolina Homes’ main focus is on building homes for our clients, we feel that it is more important to create communities. Part of this is to place parks within the neighbourhood that everyone is free to enjoy. Over the years throughout our varied projects we’ve put in walking paths, green spaces and playgrounds to ensure people feel at home. Pictured here in our 2002 Somerset project, we designed and built this beautiful green space along with a playground and spray park.

Mixed Use Residential & Commercial
Our Mixed Use Project: Evergreen CentreThis exciting new product revisited an Old World concept where a merchant would live above his place of business. Evergreen Centre consists of four individual buildings each with three commercial bays on the main level and three condominium homes on the upper level. We needed to be creative in how we used the land, and we believe we’ve achieved what we set out to do. The design of these buildings gives the city a trendy yet traditional look that fits well with the rest of the neighbourhood.

Airdrie
Foray into AirdrieStarting in 2012, we began the first of our multi-family condominium projects in Airdrie with Chinook Crossing. With Airdrie located just minutes north of Calgary, you get the small town way of life while still benefitting from the large city amenities of Calgary. This project had the largest variety of home models available with everything from 500+ sq ft studio units up to 1100+ sq ft two bedroom two full bathroom units. Each building featured main floor and upper floor homes, each with their own private entrance.
Chinook Crossing is the culmination of several previous projects with the design and contruction trade efficiency reaching it pinacle. As a result the 160 homes sold quickly, enjoying amazing pricing in an area with athletic, skate and splash parks, pathways and schools.
